me: if you could be any animal, what would you be?
kid: i would be a dog.
me: do you like dogs?
kid: kind of, but that's not why i want to be one.
me: then what is your reason?
kid: well, there are a lot of people in the world who can't see. if i was a dog, i could help those people get around. i really want to help all of the people who can't see.
me: (melted all over the floor.)
